Application overview
Sample conditioning
The sampling path must preserve the gas composition delivered from the process. Pressure reduction, filtration, temperature control and purging are selected to prevent condensation, adsorption and cross-contamination.
Valve, columns and detector channels
A quantitative valve provides repeatable gas introduction. Column switching and detector routing are selected to separate permanent gases and light hydrocarbons without assigning every component to a generic channel. TCD and FID roles are confirmed from the analyte list and range.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a refinery-gas system application-specific?
Refinery streams can differ widely in permanent gases, light hydrocarbons and concentration range, so the valve, columns and detector channels are selected from the actual component list.
Can one detector cover every refinery-gas component?
A single detector is not always the most practical route. TCD and FID channels may be combined to cover different component classes and ranges.
